A word from the Lord

"I walk among you today as a friend -- as a confidant.
I know your struggles of the week.
I know your struggles of this day.
I know your struggles. I know your struggles.
And I say trust -- trust that I know and that I have the answer to all things.
I know your trails. Business trials, health trials, financial trials, personal trials.
I know your temptations.
I know, I know and I am here to show you a more perfect way.
I am with you -- I am your friend.
You do not walk alone.
You do not stand alone.
You do not pray alone.
I am with you. I am with you."

Perfect Peace

February 2012

Isaiah 26:3-4

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal. – (NIV)

Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. – (KJV)

Two words that stand out to me in this scripture are “peace” and “trust”. He promises to keep us in “perfect peace” if we completely trust in Him. If our “mind is stayed” – focus, fixed on Him.

Day in and day out our mind can get to wondering and worrying about a lot of stuff. However, by trusting in Him, “the Rock eternal” all the worrying about this or that or whatever just fades into the background. And we come to rely on and we come to know Him -- The One and Only – who can handle it all.

Peace of mind is a wonderful thing to experience but so often it is hard to shut down our thought-life and worry begins to creep back in – doesn’t it.

My prayer is, “God, LORD JEHOVAH, the Rock eternal, in You alone is everlasting strength. Help us to trust in You for and in all things! May we keep our minds fixed not on our circumstances but on You, the Creator of heaven and earth. Amen.”

Hebrews 12:2 – Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. (NIV)

Bottom Line: May God’s perfect peace be a part of our everyday life, as we fully trust in Him – the Rock eternal.

Love in Christ,
